Job Description

Job Description: Primary Purpose:

Serve as the primary DevOps and Continuous Integration Engineer for small to medium scale software development program. Work with a broad range of technologies on a multi-disciplinary design team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer Continuous Integration and Deployment platforms for small to medium scale software programs
Perform building, packaging, testing, and deployment of software to various target platforms at remote customer locations
Develop scripts to help automate configuration management, build, and test functions
Maintain and implement program-wide development, release, and deployment processes
Monitor new developments in DevOps and CI and recommend and implement improvements to existing program practices
Travel to other LGS Locations or Customer Sites as necessary
Understand and adhere to all LGS Ethical and Compliance policies
Proactively ensure a safe work environment and adhere to LGS EH&S policies and procedures
Perform other duties as required
Obtain/retain a government security clearance at the level to perform the job
Minimum Qualifications: Skills and Knowledge:

Must have active TS/SCI with Poly
In-depth knowledge of Git and demonstrable experience managing and releasing large amounts of software source code
Experience with various Continuous Integration and Deployment platforms including Jenkins and GitLab CI
Scripting experience in at least one of the following languages: shell/python/ruby
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems related to software build and test in Java/C++/python
Minimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and 2-4 years of experience or a combination of education and related experience.
Four (4) years of experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Preferred Qualifications: N8:N9Experience developing, maintaining and version controlling software build and test environments using Docker
Experience building, packaging, testing and deploying software for different platforms including RPM/deb/npm/Python/Docker
Familiarity with Configuration Management and automation platforms, e.g. Ansible/Chef/Puppet/SaltStack
Java, C++, and/or Python experience working in a Linux environment
