SUMMARY:

The MOC Manager will be responsible to support the Part 121 Director of Maintenance by providing leadership to the Maintenance Operational Control Department. This person, with input from team members, will provide a vision and direction for the success of MOC to enhance the safety and reliability of Cape Air's daily Part 135 and 121 operation. Please note: we are posting this opportunity in advance of its expected opening. We anticipate an approximate start date on/around November 1, 2017.

PRIMARY REPSONSIBILITIES:

* Provides effective leadership to the MOC department with a paramount focus on safety and compliance
* Ensures communication between MOC and SOC is clear and concise during daily operations
* Directs the Maintenance Controllers in researching and using reference material when fixing a discrepancy and returning the aircraft to service during daily operations, understanding the sense of urgency
* Facilitates the daily Aircraft Status conference call
* Coordinates scheduled maintenance plan with Planning Manager and Maintenance Base Leadership
* Fosters a positive relationship with all maintenance contract providers
* Responsible for Maintenance Controller schedule and adequate department coverage
* Processes bi-weekly payroll for department
* Handles and coordinates all new-hire and recurrent training for Maintenance Controllers
* Participates in CAS meetings
* Works regularly scheduled shifts providing desk coverage for sick calls, vacations, etc.
* Responsible for the development and implementation of "Continuous Process Improvements" for the MOC department
* Provides and continuously updates standardized distribution lists and content for turnover reports
* Develops and continuously updates MOC playbook
* Conducts weekly meetings with staff to evaluate performance
* Oversees Maintenance Controllers to ensure they perform the following items:

* Ensure Tech Line is contacted as necessary
* Provide photographs of discrepancies as required
* Update status board in a timely fashion
* Use professional terminology and standards in all communications and reports
* Provide timely updates for aircraft out of service
* Additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 5-10 years MOC experience preferred
* Previous management or supervisory experience required
* Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Must have proven decision making and problem solving skills
* Mist have a flexible schedule in order to meet and work with all maintenance shifts
* Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office
* Must work well under pressure
* Must exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
* Please note this is a safety sensitive position which requires CHRC clearance and DATP enrollment in accordance with the FAA Code of Federal Regulations
