Boeing Commercial Airplanes Engineering – Customer Support is seeking a Retrofit Engineer to join a team where you will support 24/7 operation center & develop aircraft retrofit projects.
Provide technical support for in-service product inquiries by reviewing and researching customer specific requests to draft efficient and common solutions across our fleet.
Research and build knowledge of Boeing and engineering design principles in order to develop solutions for technical in-service issues.
Draft communication material to internal Boeing users and external customers on specific interior components/systems.
Provide customer advocacy in technical design reviews including new products.
Collaborate with appropriate suppliers and customers towards resolution of in-service issues.
Research fleet data on customer findings for product/process improvement opportunities that may include recurrent product support issues.
Develop, manage and status aircraft retrofit plan at project level.
Make use of and applies extensive knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, software and/or systems.
Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate retrofit solution and able to influence changes as needed.
Develop, review and/or approve Service Bulletin, Information Notice, and Alternative Method of Compliance (AMOC).
Willing to travel and/or stay late and/or work on weekends occasionally to support Retrofit Work and/or Airline Reported Issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience) BS degree in Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering is required and three (3) years or more related experience. ABET accreditation preferred Experience working in Aerospace industry as an Engineer Advanced proficiency in MS Office Products and strong written, verbal communications and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills/experience) Experience in Airplane Design, Liaison Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering as an engineer is strongly preferred
Experience with Project Management Experience in MRO or Airline Maintenance Facility as an engineer is preferred Experience or Knowledgeable about Interiors, Propulsion and/or Environmental Control System is desired Experience with Engineering tools such as ENOVIA, CATIA is desired Experience with working with FAA or Regulatory Administration is desired Knowledgeable about Airplane Maintenance Standard such as ATA iSpec 2200 and/or S1000d is desired
Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
