The Collins Aerospace Ohio facility is seeking a Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering Co-op for the Spring semester of 2020, to support design engineering activity in the Ice Protection and Water Systems business unit. Work includes design and build of pneumatic de-icers and heated composite aircraft parts, developing test fixtures/set-ups and aiding in testing and documentation of prototype and qualification part builds.
This position will provide students with practical experience related to their major that will enhance and complement their classroom learning. Candidates demonstrating high potential are typically asked to return and often complete three semesters interspersed with their remaining college curriculum. Student assignments often increase in difficulty and responsibility as the student progresses through their college education and experience supporting the Engineering team in Uniontown, Ohio.
Education and Certifications
* Support New Product Introduction and Sustaining Engineering projects and initiatives in the Ice Protection and Water Systems product lines
* Design and build prototype components and test fixtures, aid testing of prototypes and qualification test articles, document test results in support of Engineering deliverables.
Education and Certifications
* Pursuing a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited Engineering program
* Must have a GPA of 3.0 or greater
* Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework
