What You’ll Get to Do:

* Serve as project lead for designing, developing, modifying and evaluating mechanical components & systems.
* Create and review engineering installation plans and install systems.
* Perform engineering duties in planning and designing aircraft structures, aircraft equipment racks, and equipment installations in a 3-D modeling environment.
* Utilize benchtop test equipment to perform Verification and Validation (V&V) on designs.
* Direct and guide Drafting personnel.
* Analyze system requirements, interpret drawings, and recommend changes and corrections.
* Collaborate with other Mechanical Engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive mechanical design, quality control, and integration.
* Develop detailed Bill of Material list to support builds and installation activities.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

* Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain/transfer and maintain a DoD Secret or higher clearance per contract requirement.
* Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering and 3-10 years of related experience. Four additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree.
* Knowledge of 3-D modeling software for 3-D modeling design
* Skilled in technical writing to include operating instructions and build instructions.
* Ability to use hand tools.
* Understanding of aircraft structures and equipment racks.
* Knowledge of bench-top test equipment.
* Skilled in written and oral communication.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

* Active DoD Secret or higher clearance
* Familiar with Aircraft Flight Dynamics.
* Familiar with Multi/fixed Ground platforms.
* Significant knowledge of RF design.
