Do you have a passion for working on emerging technologies? Navy Strategic Programs (NSP) is experiencing significant growth and we need your expertise to deliver amazing new technologies to our customers. We have opportunities that include advanced Hypersonic Technology, Glide Body Strike technology, and other key technology insertions. The early design and engineering phase provides you with tremendous career growth potential along with meaningful assignments to stretch and hone your expertise. This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) partners to field a number of future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and development support for the Missile Mechanical Controls on the CPS Program. Primary responsibility will include development of control system requirements and functional analysis of the electromechanical thrust vector control system. The candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm for problem solving and the ability to complete challenging analytical assignments. The position also requires interfacing with various stakeholders within and beyond the immediate group (electrical, materials, structural teams, etc).
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemistry, Materials, Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
Working knowledge of electromechanical thrust vector control systems
Proficiency with Matlab
Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools
Proven desire and ability to own complex technical challenges through solution
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and with adjacent disciplines
Proficiency in IDEAS, Creo, and EPDM
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)
Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
Master's Degree in either Mechanical/Aeronautical engineering or related technical discipline
Missile/Aerospace related experience
Demonstrated analytical depth through graduate research, professional experience, or academic projects
Development program experience
