Materials and Process engineers have primary responsibility to develop and maintain standards for aircraft, engine, and APU materials and processes. This includes substitution of consumable materials, hardware and standard processes. This job covers the materials and processes associated with: cleaners, solvents, chemicals, disinfectants, pesticides, dry ice limits, etc.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A 4 year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Materials, Chemistry/CHE, Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial) from an accredited school is preferred. Experience with writing standard processes and developing consumable material standards within the Material & Process Standardization area of an OEM, airline, or aircraft overhaul facility is preferred. Should be project oriented and have good communication, organization and interpersonal skills with minimal supervision; and be experienced with automation software, i.e., MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access. Should be able to comprehend and be knowledgeable in FAA regulations. Should possess a thorough understanding of maintenance requirements, processes, and procedures. Job references must be provided.
