Assists Manufacturing Engineers and /or Manufacturing in a variety of duties involving the testing and /or analysis of problems on electronic assemblies, circuit boards, motors, and electro-mechanical products such as fans and blowers.
Requires knowledge of manufacturing practices and familiarity with test components and assemblies. Assists in developing assembly, test approach, and test fixtures for production product. Makes recommendations for improvements in product in terms of cost, reliability, methods, equipment needs, and test/assembly procedures.
Works from sketches, blueprints, customer specs, mil specs, mil standards, written and oral instructions, and engineering orders. Use computer, hand tools, precision measuring and testing equipment.
Performs failure analysis on units built in production and documents results. Recommends repair methods and issues instructions for others to follow. Identifies failure trends. Maintains detailed records of work results.
Trains and instructs other workers as assigned. Maintains good standards of quality and quantity of work performed. Maintains a clean and neat work area at all times. Complies with company rules, policies, and procedures. Reports unusual or problem circumstances to manager.
Work involves considerable accuracy and responsibility with the ability to work independently.
• Two (2) year Electronics degree preferred.
• Demonstration of electrical and mechanical skills during the interview as well as ability to use associated equipment.
• General knowledge of military specifications, engineering techniques, manufacturing and production procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions.
• Overtime will be required
