L3 Technologies, Electron Devices,currently has an opportunity for an entry-level MATERIAL PLANNER at our Torrance, California location. In this position you will help coordinate material needs and manufacturing plans between various internal organizations and customers by utilizing computerized inventory systems, monitoring simulations, and forecasting data. Additional roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
M onitor end-user inventory demand and materials on hand or in transit in order to optimize overall supply chain planning.
Coordinate planning decisions from end users and information from suppliers to reduce material shortages, working with personnel from departments such as Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Inventory Control.
You’ll need a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Industrial Engineering, with proficiency using Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Oracle ERP or other ERP systems. Other qualifications that will enable you to perform successfully in this position include:
· The ability to develop and execute an MRP plan using business system and desktop applications is required
· Must be organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to develop creative solutions to problems in a fast-paced environment
· Well-developed verbal and written communication skills are needed in order to effectively deal with internal and external customers and suppliers
· APICS CPIM certification or specific coursework in supply chain management is desirable.
