Job Description

The Opportunity | Manufacturing Engineer (CNC)

Curtiss-Wright is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in support of our machining operations. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and improving methods and processes to manufacture aerospace components. As a Manufacturing Engineer you will have the opportunity to support both new product development and improve existing products using Lean concepts and through continuous improvement activities.

Your challenge:

* Develop CNC programming code for multi-axis and multi-spindle machines using CAM software

* Create manufacturing method sheets using SolidWorks

* Implement Lean concepts and support continuous improvement activities

* Develop manufacturing routings and bills of materials to define manufacturing processes within an ERP system

* Trouble shoot machining issues on the shop floor and implement corrective actions as required

* Support special processes including heat treating, brazing, plating, and anodizing

Your expertise:

* Bachelor's Degree preferred

* Minimum of 4 years' experience developing CNC programs using CAM software

* Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

* Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of MS Office

* Experience with mathematical concepts (fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry) and ability to apply concepts to practical situations

* Familiarity with aerospace materials (stainless steel, high temperature alloys, etc.) is a plus

* Familiarity with heat treating, brazing, plating, and/or anodizing is a plus
