This role is for skilled operators working within a variety of roles focused on the manufacturing of wiring looms & mechanical assemblies within the JSF team (Joint Strike Fighter). The role will include a range of tasks and the successful applicant should be able to demonstrate a previous history of meeting/exceeding targets, be flexible and work effectively as part of a larger multi-disciplined team with a strong emphasis on collaboration and clear communication.
Will include but is not limited to:
A quick learner of new key skills to flex across a range of manufacturing processes
Demonstrate an ability to actively participate in a team culture
Participate within a team to ensure production requirements are achieved
Demonstrate the ability to operate under own initiative and communicate effectively
Follow work instructions with exact detail and efficiency
Reading and understanding of manufacturing drawings
Ability to support and train colleagues once skilled
Successful applicants could be expected to work shifts including night shifts.
Good level of dexterity
Attention to detail and hand eye coordination
Knowledge of basic health and safety
Basic numeracy and literacy skills
Excellent communication skills
Previous manufacturing experience would be advantageous
Drive to succeed as an individual and as part of a team
Positive approach to problem solving
Participating in training programmes and procedures
Willing to learn and adapt with a strong focus on flexibility
Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
Excellent time keeping
Proven record of delivering on time with quality and compliance
