Description:Opportunity for candidates with a BS or MS degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Physics interested in putting their knowledge to work as a Systems Engineer. In this important role, the engineer will collaborate with other engineering disciplines on a broad array of technical problems, and will participate in process improvement initiatives aimed at improving customer value. The engineer will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and trade studies, and he or she will recommend requirement allocations to translate customer requirements into system level specifications. The engineer will perform requirements development, system design, system integration, test, verification, and validation. The engineer will also participate in cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Keeping up-to-date on emerging technologies and tools will be encouraged.
The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required. Desired skills include one or more of the following: Java/C/C++, web or GUI design, algorithm and software development, signal processing, command and control systems, sensors, SysML modeling tools like Rhapsody or MagicDraw, integration and test of complex systems, data science/data mining, Big Data analysis and methods, agile development methods.
