The Manager of IT Asset Management (ITAM) is chartered with enabling the organization to manage the IT Asset Portfolio with respect to risk, cost, compliance and business performance. The ITAM Manager is responsible for leading the development and implementation of IT Asset Management strategies supported by standardized asset management policies, tools and practices to achieve optimal return on investment and effective procurement, deployment and management of the Delta's infrastructure and software license portfolio.

Your Responsibilities In This Role:

Define, manage, govern and improve corporate ITAM Program, Plans and Strategy while implementing ITAM best practices in governance, process and communications and drives integration across the organization. Monitor and report on performance to optimize the value of the IT Asset Portfolio.
Provide thought leadership and strategic vision for our ITAM team. Determine, in collaboration with Supply Chain Management, Finance, Compliance, Security, Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture teams and Business partners appropriate frameworks, processes and standards to be applied to the acquisition and disposal of assets, ensuring compliance with sound and agreed financial, legal and commercial principles. Fosters beneficial relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Develop financial models, perform financial analyses and IT Asset Management analyses, and recommend appropriate strategies and capital requirements for major freehold and leasehold assets. Collaborate with management to define cost savings, asset compliance and service improvements.
Development of recommendations related to portfolio profile, deployment and redeployment, acquisition, disposal or retirement of specific major assets.
Lead implementation of asset management and maintenance programs, providing governance and oversight to the ITAM Team activities to protect Delta's investment and financial interests.
Oversee contract negotiation, contract renewals and vendor management activities, inventory management, procurement and shipping activities.
Lead the day-to-day ITAM Program operation and delivery, lifecycle of IT assets, continuous monitoring and reporting of the IT asset portfolio and corrective actions for internal and external IT asset audits.
Develop and implement ITAM process improvements, enforcement of adherence to standards across the organization and compliance with industry regulations.
Develop of strategy and implement ITAM-enabling technologies and lead the culture of continuous improvement.
Participate on IT Project Steering Committees and design of new IT asset and configuration management projects, and ensure audit compliance for the IT assets.
Guide ITAM Team in the daily administration of the Asset Management activities.
Lead through demonstration of Delta's core values as outlined in Rules of the Road.
Communicate a compelling view of the organization's purpose and values in a way that helps others understand the importance and impact of their contributions; advocates for others.
Work with team members to develop specific behaviors, technical/soft skills or knowledge needed to ensure sustained performance and to prepare for success in new responsibilities

What Are We Looking For/What Experience Do You Need?

Bachelor's degree required; degree in related field preferred (i.e. computer science, management information systems, etc.).
Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience across IT functions specifically in IT Governance and Compliance.
Must have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT management, leading cross functional teams and programs related to ITAM for both Software and Hardware Asset Management.
Must be at least ITIL V3 foundation and ITAM and Software Asset Management certified.
Required certification in Flexera (FNMS) and ServiceNow.
In-depth knowledge of Hardware and Software acquisitions, Asset Lifecycle Processes, ITAM analysis and technical support for procurement decisions of new licenses/software/hardware and also renewal of recurring licensing/warranty requirements. Identify impact of architecture changes to integrated and distributed systems, license terms and conditions - investigate opportunities for cost efficiencies through enterprise license agreements and re-use.
Proven track record in managing enterprise wide ITAM process and platform implementation with successful program delivery, managing capital and expense budgets, working with multiple product and professional services vendors and driving process re-engineering and process change across multiple teams.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Understanding of the business and the ability to assess and address risk without negatively impacting the business.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate risk as it relates to the business.
Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
