The Manager, Cargo OAP manages a team that is responsible for driving operational performance by leading the design, development and implementation of reporting tools and data analysis for the Cargo division. Works closely with all areas within Cargo to develop and drive improvement in operations, customer service, safety & security, and financial performance. Leads the CGO OAP team in providing complex analysis and support from which leaders can draw meaningful conclusions, allowing them to make data-driven decisions and understand drivers of operational performance. Scope of work includes: automation and maintenance of monthly performance scorecards; managing definition and integrity of key performance indicators; managing data design and delivery processes; determining operational staffing requirements, and identifying process improvement opportunities within the Cargo Operations division. Identifies opportunities to create new metrics, tools, and reporting that support continuous improvement within Delta's Cargo division. Provides leadership, development and mentoring to team members and internal customers to ensure Cargo key knowledge processes, skill sets and capabilities are maintained, documented and perpetuated long term.
Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee saftey and well-being.

Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in analytical/quantitative discipline plus 5 years experience in analytical field or Master's degree/MBA plus 3 years relevant analytical and leadership experience

* Experience in using statistical methods to measure operational performance

* Experience with database systems

* Experience working with project analysis, development, implementation, and support

* Strong technical, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

* Ability to perform with a high level of accuracy

* Results orientation

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Ability to influence without authority

* Ability to work independently and multi-task with minimal supervision

* Must be able to analyze and synthesize information from a multitude of sources and develop appropriate recommendations for Cargo leaders

* Should be proficient in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred:

* MS/MBA

* Prior leadership experience

* Understanding of Cargo operations

* Working knowledge of Tableau

* Experience with statistical software
