Are you an experienced Aircraft Planning Engineer?

Do you live in a commutable distance of Bournemouth Airport or would be willing to relocate to the South West of the UK?

The key responsibilities of the role of Planning Engineer are as follows:

  • Production of required maintenance forecasts to ensure all work is planned to be carried out before or as it becomes due

  • Production of maintenance work packs to support due maintenance

  • Production of supporting work cards for maintenance staff to use and certify work during maintenance in a timely manner to allow for review prior to an input

  • Build work packages based on maintenance programme thresholds to ensure efficient and flexible planning of work

  • Maintain maintenance check sheets and forms

  • Liaison with tech records and engineering departments to ensure modification plans are in place and all required data is available to staff

  • Plan materials usage through computer systems

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Previous experience within an airline planning or maintenance control department is essential

  • Previous experience operating with an Airbus aircraft/Airbus World

  • A thorough understanding of aircraft and their systems

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a team

  • Highly organised and able to liaise at a moderate technical level with staff of all levels

  • An analytical approach to task planning is essential

  • An understanding of A340 aircraft and their systems is desirable

  • The ability to manage time and follow tasks priorities set by senior department staff

  • Must be computer literate and familiar with the basic functions of Microsoft Office Suite
