Monarch Engineering; Line Maintenance provider of the year 2017; are in their 50th year.  We are a dedicated and customer focused company who are looking for Maintenance & Operations Manager to be based at London Gatwick.

Role

The purpose of the Maintenance & Operations Manager position based at London Gatwick is to lead and develop maintenance staff at Gatwick to ensure agreed objectives and responsibilities are being carried out in a highly efficient manner, safe and high-quality manner whilst always striving for improvement.

To manage the department within budget and to drive cost out of the business where practically possible.

Drive and implement initiatives to improve efficiencies in relation to the department structure, ensuring qualified personnel and systems are in place to enable safe and efficient aircraft maintenance in the Gatwick base maintenance facility.

Ensure business process reviews are carried out and implemented to maximize efficiency and performance of Aircraft checks.

Maximise resource utilization to ensure optimal working patterns exist within the Base Maintenance facilities and overtime and cost controls are implemented.

Ensure services are maintained to provide the highest levels of productivity and quality.

Fully engage with MSAVI, MCIP and SMS related strategies and initiatives – with a key objective of driving out maintenance error events.

Management of the execution of all scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance requirements for contracted and ad-hoc aircraft.

Accept responsibility for the control of Health and Safety procedures and ensure that all subordinates adhere to the requirements in the maintenance facility. To ensure that all regulations are enforced and that a safe and functional place of work is maintained.

Liaise directly with IOC/MPAC with regard to all aspects of the maintenance operation, occurring both during your period of duty and in anticipation of events to follow. Ensure that MPAC is regularly informed of impending and current issues that may jeopardize the operation.

Have exceptional interface skills and communication with the customer and commercial teams.

Manage/implement requirements to ensure the correct company image is maintained; this is to include staff, equipment and property.

Use and development of AMOS to ensure that relevant data is captured and control of check packs and associated documentation to the required standards.

Ensure all personal development reviews (PDR) are completed as and when required and performance related issues are managed with a view to seeing continuous development.

Ensure all work undertaken complies with Airworthiness requirements.

Key Responsibilities

The key Responsibilities for the Maintenance & operations Manager based at London Gatwick are;

Ensure the daily maintenance requirements are met to the required standards.

Seeking out best practice and continuous improvement initiatives and processes at all times. Fully engaging with the needs for business improvement

Interface with regulatory authorities and customers.

Management of financial performance and cost control against budget and forecasts.

Monitoring and management of staff performance against agreed objectives and annual PDR reviews. Ensuring sustained and robust communication methods.

Accurate and timely generation of relevant and appropriate management information. Ensure information is cascaded to all line station staff.

 

Requirements
