About the Role
Training Rate of Pay –£8.84 per hour
£9.78 per hour after successful completion of training and passing your4 weeks probationary review meeting.
Working in our Gatwick Service Delivery department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that flights are fully catered and depart on time.
You will start your day in the unit and support the first wave of truck loading and then make your way to the airport in your allocated company van, when you arrive airside you will be given all the detail and Training required to meet up with the HGV Driver on a necessary stand/location to carry out the loading and unloading of aircraft, through the course of your day you will move to different locations across the airport to carry out the loading and unloading task across a wide variety of aircraft, returning to the unit for your allocated breaks.
Due to the physical nature of the role you will be required to do a lot of lifting, bending and stretching The role will also require you to liaise with cabin crew from a variety of airlines we serve, to facilitate the transfer of catering equipment to and from the vehicle.
Contracts are for up to 40 hours per week until 31st October 2019 working shifts on a rota basis and will include a mixture of evening and weekends.

If you are successful we will provide you with full training on all our processes and systems. As part of our recruitment process we carry out a full 5 year employment check and criminal records check on all successful applicants in order to comply with Civil Aviation Authority regulations. This can take up to 4 weeks to complete.
