Life Support Technician Supervisor
Location: Tabuk, Saudi Arabia
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

The position holder is a key stakeholder in the Life Support section thereby achieving the goals of ensuring squadron aircrew are fitted with authorised, serviceable Aircrew Equipment Assemblies (AEA) to perform LOA 3 flying training duties; to provide and manage aircrew egress and survival training within the BAE Systems SA operational flying policies.
The efficient day to day management of the Life Support Section Supervisor including:
Aircrew Equipment Assemblies (AEA) Serviceability to ensure squadron aircrew is fitted with authorised, serviceable AEA to perform LOA 3 flying training duties.
The management and delivery of aircrew survival currency training to comply with the BAE Systems SA Operational Flying Policies.
The Squadron Life Support Section will operate IAW RSAF and BAE Systems Saudi Arabia Procedures and Policies.
Act as a point of contact for the Squadron Commander for any Life Support Equipment (LSE) issues involving RSAF Liaison.
Organise manning to provide an efficient operation of the Squadron Life Support Section with implementation of the BAE Systems human resources policies and procedures.
Act as the 7th Flight Wing Subject Matter Expert to provide supervision of RSAF LST training and evaluation when supervisory staff is unavailable.
The job holder will make decisions and offer advice in base maintenance and Human Resources support.
The job holder will plan the work of the team’s day in a proactive manner; plan maintenance tasks to ensure full utilisation of manning and training opportunities.
Plan an accurate time-change programme to ensure minimal down-time for AEA as well as establish daily reactive plans to support the aircraft flying schedule.
The job holder will plan an annual, 3 monthly, monthly and weekly training schedules, to achieve effective and efficient training delivery to the assigned BAE SN Technician Trainees.
Liaison with the Training Section to plan for future pilot training course equipment and organise schedules to conduct initial fitting of AEA to the students.
The job holder will also plan future requirements for spares/components to maintain adequate availability of serviceable AEA.
The job holder must be able to lead and motivate employees and able to demonstrate experience in Life Support Equipment within a fast jet maintenance and engineering and have proven supervisory experience in a relevant role.
Must be trained in aircraft engineering or a related technical discipline at a civilian or military school of technical training, or have completed an appropriate engineering apprentice.
The job holder must also have a sound understanding of the RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to the work area.
Must be a quality minded mature individual that adopts a positive and proactive approach to aircraft equipment maintenance and support issues as well as be able to demonstrate sound oral and written communication skills with the ability to be tactful, discreet and confident in dealing with people at all levels.
Will have experience in delivering technical training and developing skills within the team as well as be able to motivate people in a mixed EE/SN workforce.
The job holder will have demonstrated strong resource management and problem solving skills with the ability to work comfortably in a challenging environment as well as must be computer literate with a sound understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite.
