Do you enjoy change and are looking to work on a number of different aircraft types, with great people and a range of fabulous benefits that can let you live life flexibly?

British International Helicopters currently operate AW189, S61 and AS365 N2 type helicopters from a number of different sites around the globe, predominantly supporting the Ministry of Defence with training, passenger transfers, tasking and SAR.

As we move our business forward, we are looking for a number of flexible people to join us in our new phase of exciting expansion, with the AW139 to be added this year.

You will need to be qualified in one or more of our existing aircraft types, although we are willing to support the right candidates with additional type ratings that fit with our operation, especially the AW139.  Having a ‘C’ licence in one or more types would be an advantage and would also be reflected in your pay.

Working on both line and base maintenance, you will need to be able to demonstrate competence in fault finding, scheduled maintenance and installation of modifications, including the use of hand tools and specialised test equipment.

Ideal candidates will have the ability to work with minimal supervision. You must also be an effective team player, capable of working as part of a small dedicated team of engineers and be able to interact well with your colleagues and the wider business. Organising your workload within the limits set and taking responsibility for your own work is also essential. You will also need to be dextrous, physically agile and in general good health to obtain work permits in remote parts or the world.

We can offer a number of different employment contracts including:

  • Annual Hours Flexible contract (permanent employment of between 900 and 1800 hrs per year) – We agree at interview the number of hours you can commit to us, and the company will plan that in with our work schedule

or

  • Fixed Term employment contracts of 6 or 12 months

The benefits you can expect to enjoy from us are:

  • Pay dependent on qualifications and number of applicable type ratings
  • 33 days paid annual leave per year (pro rata depending on hours)
  • Defined contribution pension scheme with life assurance
  • Sick pay
  • Fully funded training opportunities on new aircraft types (some unbonded)
  • Accommodation or accommodation allowance*

If you are interested, please submit your application below and we will be in touch.

Note: All applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK and/or Falkland Islands.

(* where applicable for people not living close to one of our sites and pro rata depending on hours of work)
