Lead Technical Records and Planning Engineer

Role Summary
Provide Part “M” / “CAMO” Airworthiness Support Function within the Planning and Technical Records department. Support the CAMO Manager to maintain control of Planning and Technical Records department. Support P145 with some production planning as an extension from CAMO.
Responsibilities
Ensure the maintenance of all aircraft is planned in accordance with the approved maintenance programme;
Responsible for distribution of the day-to-day tasks within the Technical Records and Planning department.
To ensure that all technical log defects are transferred to the computer defects log, including details of rectification action taken and any deferred defects.
Liaise with Line Maintenance providers, Heavy Maintenance providers, LMC, Technical Services and Operations, ensure that the maintenance network can deliver the maintenance schedule based on availability of aircraft;
To ensure the information contained in all completed worksheets and work packs is entered onto Approved Maintenance control computer system , ensuring that each aircraft status is current and out of phase items are communicated via the Technical Services Manager to the operator and noted in the tech log. This includes the stamping and inserting of logbook certificates into the respective log books for all maintenance events and component changes, as soon after the event as possible but no later than thirty days after the day of maintenance action.
Responsible for the development of the overall production planning system;
Ensure that all Maintenance Planning is performed in compliance with the requirements of Part-M, Part- CAMO, Part 145, the CAME and other applicable regulations;
Ensure production and control of all maintenance check packs to include work requirements and associated documentation with respect to aircraft maintenance;
Participate in the required meetings to ensure actions can be implemented and fulfilled within the maintenance schedule and Technical Records and Planning department;
Manage and identify the variation requests.
Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of the data held within the Approved Maintenance control computer system.
Liaise with other departments as required with respect to the programme for maintenance of fleet aircraft, the inclusion of additional work in such check-packs and circulation to all areas concerned;
Ensuring timely closure of the appropriate corrective action resulting from non-conformance findings from Compliance Monitoring System independent audits, CAA audits and support Safety investigations as assigned by the Technical Services Manager or CAMO Manager.
Operationally monitor Subcontracted organisations who are responsible for the provision of maintenance planning and technical records services.
Responsible for the content and amendment of any departmental procedures.
Other tasks or projects as indicated by CAMO Manager.
Required Skills/Experience:
Minimum 5 years Planning experience. Technical Records experience is an advantage.
Comprehensive understanding of Part M/CAMO and Part 145, and UK National Requirements.
Effective interpersonal skills.
Effective Information Technology skills.
Possess confident and effective communication skills in English (both written & verbal).
Ability to make good judgements based on the needs of the company operation, in a very fluid, fast changing environment.
Proven problem solving, planning & organisation skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
Previous experience in a Continuing Airworthiness Management organization as Planner engineer and Technical Records Controller.
Experience on B737 (or similar Boeing products) and/or ATR 42/72.
Experience with ‘Rusada Envision’ or Trax maintenance software.
Able to demonstrate experience performing most of or all of the Responsibilities described above.
