The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Lead PAC 3 Test Engineer to join our engineering team. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL. and will support the PAC-3 production program and lead and develop advanced diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting seeker hardware. Boeing has a multi-year contract to develop, test, and manufacture the PAC-3 RADAR Seeker. This program encompasses concurrent design, test and manufacturing as new upgrades are incorporated into production. This long-term program is rapidly growing in Huntsville, AL due to design updates, production growth, and Boeing facilities consolidations.

This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Primary Responsibilities:

Install, service, maintain, upgrade, and modify special test equipment used for the acceptance and diagnostics of the PAC-3 seeker.
Use technical knowledge, existing procedures or develop new procedures and internal/external resources to fabricate, install, diagnose and correct seeker hardware and/or test equipment hardware or software.
Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet design requirements.
Use various types of computing systems or electronic/electrical test equipment to test electronic/electrical components/systems (programming experience is considered plus).
Work with management, Engineering, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations to analyze and make recommendations on test equipment design requirements, capability and improvements.
Lead the ongoing PAC-3 production program as required meeting production schedules. This support will require troubleshooting and repair of PAC-3 Seeker and subsystems.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

Minimum of 3 years experience with Electrical / Electronic Design.
Active US Secret Security Clearance
Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Field
Minimum of 1 year of experience in integrating RF, digital, and power supply subsystems preferably in Radar or sensor systems

Preferred Experience (Desired Skills & Experience):

Design experience, Labview programming experience and firmware programming are all highly desired.
Experience with RADAR systems.

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
