The Accessory Technician tests, adjusts, troubleshoots, repairs and/or overhauls core aircraft accessory components in a clean and safe work environment according to technical publications, Duncan Aviation approved procedures, and customers' expectations. In addition, this position trains less experienced team members, and prepares and completes appropriate documentation.

Essential Job Functions

* With minimal supervision, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, overhauls, and tests core accessory components using hand tools, power tools, ground support equipment, test equipment and technical documents. Orders necessary parts for completing the jobs.
* With minimal supervision, researches, prepares, and signs off various documents for record keeping purposes as required by Duncan approved procedures, manufacturers' maintenance manuals, and FAA regulations (i.e. turnovers, 8110-3's and 337's, W.O. Sheets, ESO, personal training log, and other work order related documents supporting the review squawks and expected hours).
* Provides accurate repair and overhaul information for creating estimates.
* Provides OJT to less experienced technicians as needed.
* Performs other duties as assigned management.

Job Specific Requirements

* Licenses/Certificates: Respirator fit eligible
* Attendance: Regularly scheduled attendance required
* Physical: Routinely lifts 50 lbs., occasionally lifts 100 lbs.; reads small print; hearing sounds associated with mechanical deficiencies; repetitive motion; works with moving parts and vibration; tolerates products and materials associated with component maintenance; tolerates standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching and sitting
* Environmental: Tolerates working in noisy environments
* Work Schedule: Must be available to work all shifts

Education and Experience

Accessory Technician I:

* Associates Degree in related field preferred
* Previous mechanical experience required

Accessory Technician II:

* Associates Degree in related field preferred
* Minimum one year aviation component related maintenance experience required

Accessory Technician III:

* Associates Degree in related field preferred
* Minimum five years aviation component related maintenance experience required
