Description of the job
Are you looking for an internship? Would you like to discover the work within development in the field of electrical systems? Then apply now! We look forward to you joining us as an intern (m/f) at Airbus Helicopters Centre (35 hours/week, flexi-time).
Duration: 3-6 months
Airplane door indication systems are traditionally mechanical driven systems being reliable, cheap, and light. However, they are complex, they need high maintenance and they appear out of date. In this context new electrical indication concepts shall be evaluated within this internship/thesis. They could be realized using LED-Screen or lamps ensuring the fulfillment of the extensive EASA requirements.
First, the customer and the EASA requirements shall be analyzed ending in a specification like document describing the boundaries for the future system. In the design phase, potential suppliers and experts will be consolidated and different ideas shall be compared to each other in order to converge to a potential new concept. The final concept shall be benchmarked against the actual mechanical system in terms of reliability, maintainability, recurring cost and weight.
