Position: International Aviation Lawyer

Location: Dubai

Responsible to: Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer



Vipping is seeking a qualified corporate in-house Aviation Counsel.

A growing Private Aviation Company based in Dubai is seeking an in-house lawyer to handle all company legal matters and coordinate with external legal advisors on larger projects. The lawyer will report directly to the Managing Director and the CEO and will be involved in all aspects of the company’s activities.



  • Negotiating, writing and executing agreements and contracts on behalf of the company
  • Offering counsel on a variety of legal issue
  • Advising executives within the company
  • Working alongside other departments within the company
  • Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different deals
  • Researching and anticipating unique legal issues that could impact the company
  • Reviewing advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements
  • Providing training to the company on legal topics
  • Acting in coverage disputes, in relation to numerous types of aviation (re)insurance policies (including Aircraft All Risks, Deductible and Spares policies) and other classes of (re)insurance policies, acting for both the London insurance and overseas insurance markets.
  • Drafting insurance policies and advising on insurance provisions in specific commercial arrangements.
  • Passenger and third-party claims for major losses
  • Aircraft hull claims

Key Requirements:


  • Must have Master’s degree in international Aviation Law and Policy from a recognized university
  • Must be admitted to a recognized bar
  • Must have 5+ years of experience gained in large law firm and/or in-house with major firm
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
  • Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization's legal department and across all businesses
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
