L3 Technologies ESS Inc. (L3 ESS), a division of L3 Aerospace Systems (AS) segment, is an internationally recognized supplier of integrated logistics and system support services providing OEM and third party MRO for a variety of avionics, cockpit displays and other systems. We provide integrated and performance based logistics support, logistics management, supply chain management and technical solutions for air, land and naval platforms for defense applications.

L3 ESS employs highly skilled and experienced personnel, including logisticians, engineers, technologists and technicians and we are now seeking a motivated individual for the Halifax team:

Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

With the guidance of the Team Lead:

* Provide Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) expertise to various L3 ESS projects by completing different analysis including LSA, MTA, sparing analysis, LORA, RCMA, FMEA, obsolescence analysis and LCC;

* Review or author ILS analysis reports;

* Create and maintain Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) using either Pennant's OmegaPS, ISS' SLICwave or Raytheon's Eagle tool;

* Provide assistance to System Engineering/Program Management in resolution of technical problems, technical accuracy reviews and design & development of new products;

* Review or develop maintenance manuals, acceptance procedures, Technical Data Package (TDP) documents (drawings, product specifications);

* Assist in the evaluation of ILS proposals from suppliers;

* Provide briefings to colleagues and management;

* Promote team work

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

* Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent;

* Past work experience (including summer work or coop) in the defence sector;

* Proven experience in analysing and consolidating data from different sources to achieve a certain goal, resolve a specific problem;

* Proficient with MS Office;

* Must be an analytical thinker with careful consideration for details;

* Must have excellent communication skills;

* Must be eligible to obtain a Canadian Industry security Clearance to SECRET within 6 months and eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CPG);

* Desired experience: LSAR database (OmegaPS, Eagle, SLICwave), Integrated Logistics Support, AUTOCAD (SolidWorks)

All successful applicants must be eligible to meet requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian government security clearance.

The successful applicant can expect to enjoy L3 ESS’s 9/80 Work Schedule—2 weeks’ work scheduled into 9 work days, resulting in every other Friday off. A comprehensive benefits package is also included.
