SUMMARY: Responsible for recruiting direct employees for the facility. May include additional HR-related duties on a professional level and to work closely with HR management. Specific areas of responsibility includes staffing, recruiting, company on-boarding, performance management, employee relations, job descriptions, compliance, drug & alcohol program management and/or personnel administration. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as primary point of contact for internal customers, both CONUS and OCONUS, within designated departments beginning with the hiring process and throughout the employee lifecycle. - Recruit personnel and manages recruiting process through Taleo as required; provide salary analysis as needed. - Administer temporary staff requirements with preferred vendors. - Ensure required employee action paperwork is completed and processed in a timely manner, to include but not limited to Personnel Action Requests (PARs), open position requests, terminations, equity/promotion requests, etc. - Make recommendations to HR management and assist with the development of new approaches, policies and procedures to affect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed. - Manage unemployment claims through our Third Party Administrator (TPA) and participate in hearings as required. - Assist with the development, administration and training of the Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Programs. - Collaborate with HR management and departmental management on employee relation concerns and manage them accordingly. - Collaborates with Benefits Analyst as required. - Maintain regular HR presence at Airlift facilities, including the hangars and warehouse. - Participate in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings as required. - Maintain Human Resource Information System (EV5) records for designated area and compile reports from database to include but not limited to: new hire, termination and personnel status change processing. - Maintain CRC Fit and Unfit to Deploy and immunization data base. Oversee all required personnel compliance requirements. - Assist with organizational charts and with the development with job descriptions. - Prepare headcount reports, weekly senior management presentation, attrition reports and other reports as needed. - Participate as required with employee out-processing and the exit interview process. - Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment. - Responsible for maintenance of I-9 documentation and E-Verify administration to confirm employment eligibility. - Maintain employee personal data files; record employee information such as personal data, compensation, benefitsand tax data. - Participate and assist with company events and employee engagement activities. - Assist as needed with both internal and external department audit requirements. - Assume the role of Drug Enforcement Representative (DER) for designated departments personnel. Responsible for Drug & Alcohol Program administrative processes and procedures to include but not limited to: pre-employment drug testing, maintenance of drug and alcohol records, program audit requirements, database administration and compliance. - Coordinate, in collaboration with HR Administrative Support, all department documentation control requirements to include but not limited to: reviewing approved HR documents prior to publishing, working with department employees to ensure compliance with department publishing format and SharePoint HR document accuracy. - Ability to travel OCONUS as required but not to exceed 10% annually. - Maintain and post basic work instructions for all major duties within area of responsibility. - Perform other duties as assigned by department manager(s). EDUCATION REQUIRED: B.S./B.A. degree and three years of Human Resource experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PREFERRED: - Human Resources PHR or SHRM-CP certification. - Master's degree in Human Resource Management and two (2) years of experience in the HR field or any similar combination of education and experience. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: - Minimum of two (2) years experience in HR role. - Strong understanding of HR Best Practices, policies and procedures utilized in one or more of the following areas: recruitment, selection, job descriptions/evaluation and classification, employee/labor relations, compensation (salary structures) policies/procedure, salary administration and HR metrics. - Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations. - Working knowledge of principles of Affirmative Action/Equal Employment opportunity, HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, Sarbanes Oxley, ADA and FLSA. - Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, PowerPoint). - Practical experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking systems, preferably EV5 and Taleo, respectively. - Superior customer service standards with the ability to project a cooperative and professional demeanor when working with a wide range of individuals. - Ability to work in a team-oriented, continuous improvement and customer-centric environment, and is able to quickly adapt to new procedures. - Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness when interacting with difficult people/situations. - Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to employee records, system data and other sensitive employee related information. - Must be detail-oriented while being able to multi-task in a face paced work environment. - Strong communication and presentation skills. PREFERRED: Experience in aviation industry.
