Baseline on behalf of our client are recruiting candidates for the position of Head of Operations Control Division to join their team on a permanent basis.

Head of Operations control division (OCD)

Job Description

The OCD is responsible for developing the overall system operations plan and for modifying that plan in case of irregularities. In addition, OCD focuses on flight safety, economic decisions regarding the daily operations, using the inputs of Flight Dispatch and Meteorology, flight crews, individual stations, passenger reservations department, Maintenance, Route Planning, Crew Scheduling, and all other applicable departments. The OCD is also responsible for making administrative decisions regarding cancelations, consolidations, special stops, diversions of operations, ferry flights, charter flights, etc.

Main Duties:

Plan, organize and manage operational control of flight operations, flight planning, crew in-flight assistance, emergency situations and irregularities.

Manage and lead team of OCD duty officers.

Develop and modify internal OCD procedures, analyze quality of OCD operations and to put forward proposals for improvement.

Assure liaison with applicable authorities and other external entities relevant to operational control.

Candidate requirements

Have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

Have University degree in Aeronautics.

Be a team leader able to motivate and develop team members.

Have great communication and organizational skills with creative insight into problem-solving, independent thinking with ability to challenge current processes and suggest improvements.

Have excellent English language skills - written and verbal. 

Have great knowledge of flight planning systems, MS office, etc.
