Peak Performance Recruitment have been exclusively appointed to recruit and appoint a dynamic and highly motivated Head of Engineering, who promotes innovation and who will be instrumental in the continuous development and direction of this airline.
The Head of Engineering is expected to lead by example, motivating the department leaders and creating opportunities for individuals to make their ideas heard so that every employee feels like that are making a difference and having an impact.

Secure airworthy, safe and economical operation of the fleet under the civil aviation regulations imposed by EASA Part M and Ops.
Secure cross functional coordination and follow-up within CAMO and with internal and external touch points.
Secure best practice CAMO contracted maintenance budget and cost follow up.
Secure development, revision and approval of individual aircraft type maintenance programs.
Secure reliability and maintenance program effectiveness analysis and follow up based on in service and maintenance data.
Secure that all applicable maintenance requirements imposed by manufacturers and authorities are implemented.
Secure acquisition of approved maintenance data for all maintenance, repairs and modifications accomplished on our client’s aircraft.
Secure preparation of job cards for 145 organizations.
Secure individual aircraft configuration management and control.
Secure correspondence with manufacturers and authorities.
Secure Engineering support as applicable (in coordination with 145 support engineering) to daily operation of aircraft.
Secure timely management of safety, audit, quality and ARC reports and follow up that appropriate corrective actions are implemented and effective.
Secure appropriate staff resources and competence through assessment, training, and process confirmation.
Secure that effective processes, procedures and communication practices are in place to underpin cross functional coordination and ways of working to achieve set targets for the respective fleets and engines/APU.
Secure establishment and follow up of contracted maintenance cost budget and life cycle cost for airlines fleet, including its engines/APU, with support from Contracts, Maintenance Planning & Control, and in close collaboration with the Business Control function.
Support develop of shop floor management to ensure compliance with pre-determined key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Delegated formal and organizational accountability for prescribed duties and responsibilities of Engineering.
Staff responsibility for over 40 full time equivalents.
Delegated budget responsibility for contracted maintenance budget, and engineering department staff cost.
Member of CAMO management team.
University degree within aviation, or other relevant background from the aviation industry.
Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience, where a minimum 2 years in an appropriate management position within the aviation industry.
Practical experience from leading complex organizations at a strategic and tactical level.
Practical experience of managing large contracts with suppliers and internally, with associated cost saving programs and budget processes.
Applicants should possess knowledge of;
EASA Part M and Ops regulations.
Safety management and quality systems.
The operations management procedures (OMS) and continuing airworthiness management exposition.
Relevant sample of aircraft types.
Change management and management skills in general.
Leadership and communication.
Business understanding and analysis at a strategic and tactical level.
Practical application of lean tools.
Contract and supplier management.
Budget processes, cost control and saving programs.
Likes to be intellectually and personally challenged.
Able to lead and inspire people to deliver high quality of work.
