The British Airways Catering Operations team is looking for a new leader to ensure our customers have a great culinary experience. This means giving our cabin crew all they need to provide a seamless service on each British Airways flight. It’s a robust operation and the goal is to deliver the right quantity, quality and cost, at the right time. This has a major impact on our customers’ satisfaction and our success.
You’ll be focused on delivering quality, which is weighed up against operational and financial performance targets. Safety and regulatory compliance is also a must and will always be at the forefront of your mind. By communicating effectively with senior stakeholders, you’ll keep them invested in major new functions within the business. You’ll work together with Procurement to ensure relationships with suppliers are beneficial and meet our budgetary targets. As the heart of the catering team, you’ll energise everyone you interact with, inspiring them to be more productive.
You’ll be eligible to hold an airside pass/CRC and educated to degree level (or equivalent). Plus, you’ll have experience in managing third party suppliers, negotiations and working with business data to support decision making. That’s along with proven leadership skills, excellent communication and ability to work with key stakeholders. Finally, you’ll be able to collaborate and deliver effective project management to bring practical, compelling and cost-effective outcomes. Overall, you’ll be a customer champion who can deliver real change.
