About the Role To ensure the APAM’s Geographic Information System (GIS) continues to evolve and develop
functionality and solutions that drive continuous improvement within the APAM business in both what
we do and how we do it. The role is integral to transforming APAM into a digital airport of the future
and will work closely with the business to provide an integrated asset information platform.

As the Enterprise GIS Manager, you will be required to excel at multitasking, and be flexible and
adaptable to perform a variety of tasks that can range from simple to complex. Our ideal new team
member will be a quick learner and have a strong desire to learn and be excited to take on the
challenges presented to them. You should have the technical aptitude to work with modern enterprise
data systems and be confident in engaging with the broad range of stakeholders to attain a high
adoption rate of enterprise business systems. You must be capable of working independently with
high attention to detail to produce quality work and can perform all duties without supervision. You
will be expected to have excellent problem solving skills, be a fast thinker, and work well in a fast-
paced agile team environment. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
 ArcGIS Development and Adoption - champions and drives change management and

engagement activity relating to GIS; achieving a high adoption rate of ArcGIS within the APAM
business; manages the delivery of the Enterprise GIS Roadmap; successful delivery of GIS
functionality to meet the requirements of the business as agreed annually.  Data Integrity- conduct regularly and systematic auditing of data, identifying gaps and areas
for improvement; develop and implement process improvements to plug identified gaps;
evaluates effectiveness of data integrity processes, with a continuous improvement focus;
develop performance reporting on data quality and system effectiveness to measure
performance of the GIS system, communicating to relevant stakeholders; work with Capital
Works and Maintenance teams to ensure their project deliverables are aligned with GIS data
requirements

The Ideal Candidate:  Tertiary qualifications in IT or equivalent experience. Preferably five years' experience as a GIS
developer coupled with at least two years' experience in managing client-facing projects and
small teams.  Ability to prepare high quality reports and or proposals and excellent interpersonal
communication skills.

 Demonstrated and proven experience in the general use of GIS software such as ArcGIS and
Quantum GIS.  Expertise in design and implementation of spatial databases including ESRI geodatabases, SQL
Server native spatial and PostgresSQL/PostGIS; the installation and configuration of spatial
servers including ArcGIS Server and GeoServer.  Experience in the design and development of GIS applications using one or more of following:
ArcGIS Javascript API, ArcObjects, Geocortex and preferably open source mapping
frameworks such as OpenLayers or LeafletJS.  Proven experience in the development and implementation of mobile, desktop and web
