Services, repairs and overhauls commercial aircraft fuel components, to ensure airworthiness by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Repairs, replaces and rebuilds Pumps and Valves as required.
Reads and interprets manufacturers' and airlines' maintenance manuals, service bulletins and other specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Inspects Pumps and Valves to detect cracks or breaks.
Tests Pumps and Valve operation to locate source of malfunction.
Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping or other defects.
Requisitions parts and inventory needed for replacement or repair.
Cleans and lubricates parts.
Repairs or replaces worn, damaged or defective parts and reassemble.
Understands and observes all safety requirements as directed by company safety and environmental policies and programs.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
An airframe and powerplant license is preferred, but not mandatory.
