What the role is:

You will work closely with the Central Compliance team and will be responsible for managing all Food & HSE matters across some of our Northern sites. Your main focus will be to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, in addition to developing the company's Food Safety & Health and safety management systems.

What you’ll be doing will include:

*

Ensure compliance with both UK legislation and Industry codes of practice on Food Safety and HACCP

*

In conjunction with the Head of Compliance develop food safety, policies, standards and procedures for inclusion in the company food safety and HACCP manuals

*

Produce monthly updates on food safety performance for inclusion in the monthly board compliance report

*

Liaise with external food safety support bodies i.e. Campden /Leatherhead food RA requesting their assistance as necessary

*

Collate risk rating suppliers, obtaining copies of suppliers BRC accreditation certificates and completion of supplier audits

*

Investigate or arrange incident, accidents and near-misses to be investigated, prepare report of findings, including recommendations to prevent recurrence and implement course of action

*

Coordinate and conduct site inspections and formal internal audits

*

Deliver Food & HSE training to employees

*

Write Safe Operating Procedures, including HACCP Flows and procedures

*

Liaise and provide guidance with unit compliance support managers on all aspects of food safety and hygiene

*

Responsible for environmental swabbing and water sampling program of all units

*

Be involved on Central HACCP Committeeand establish best practice, company policy and procedures

*

Assist the menu development and design team in giving guidance on suitability of product for airlines/flights destinations

*

Manage the allergen database confirming allergenicinformation and communication to the business

*

Manage detail on food nutritional values and information in line with prevailing food safety legislation

What you’ll have will include:

*

Certification in HACCP or equivalent experience

*

Understanding of the UK/EU and World Food Safety regulations.

*

Nebosh General Certificate or working towards

*

Audit experience

*

Recognised Environmental Certificate

*

Experience in Good Manufacturing and HSE Practices in the context of food / drink

*

Experience in implementing Food safety & H&S management systems

*

Ability to travel and stay between sites
