The primary function of this position is to support and act as act as a coordinating point  to the Business Development team.  Additional job functions include the update, maintenance and assimilation of any data required for the company’s extensive databases.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Other duties may be assigned as needed by ASM’s management. This person will also be expected to adhere to and promote ASM’s Vision, Mission and Values.  As a support function, the duties listed below are duties that the individual should be able to handle on their own initiative and be accountable for.

Roles and Responsibility:

  • Ø  Continually examine ASMs product portfolio and create different ways to sell these products.
  • Ø  Have the expertise of Fligth Support knowledge and understanding.
  • Ø  Understand the market and the targets for Flight Support Services.
  • Ø  Understand competitor product portfolios and ascertain what aspects of these need to be incorporated into ASMs own product portfolio as well as any additional/new concepts
  • Ø  Understand price sensitivity and package ASMs products in such a way that the prospective client feels they are being given something different and unique to them
  • Ø  Have an understanding of what is happening now in the market and forecast future needs and opportunities
  • Ø  Respond immediately when consulted by any business development team member for product pricing and packaging ideas
  • Ø  Understand revenue optimization and build that into their daily work planning
  • Ø  Be aware of competitor product portfolios and use these to ASMs advantageØ  Understand global media and aviation related news and derive from that opportunities for ASM.
  • Ø  Present ideas/concepts and results to ASM teams including senior management and to potential clients.

Communicator/Relationship Builder

  • Ø  Works effectively with internal departments and external customers/suppliers to provide knowledge based product data.
  • Ø  Proactively understands the internal and external data/R&D needs and responds with options to ensure the needs are met.
  • Ø  Uses communication skills to effectively convey information to internal and external customers.
  • Ø  Communicate/interact with any ASM department and at times with external third parties.


  • Fluent in oral and written English, able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Computer Literate.
  • 3-5 years Sales Experience in Aviation.
