About the Role

As a Flight Operations Engineer in the Flight Operations Technical team you would be responsible for providing accurate aircraft performance, navigation and weight and balance data to all British Airways flights. This is a diverse role that would give you the opportunity to take-on a wide range of responsibilities, such as:

• Weighing the British Airways fleet of ~240 aircraft.
• Ensuring British Airways flight crew have accurate operational information for over 550 airports spread across six continents.
• Supporting the entry into service of new aircraft (~10 new aircraft in 2023) and new aircraft types.
• Deploying new and improved applications and systems to British Airways flight crew and supporting operational departments.

About You

• An engineer with a passion for aviation.
• Highly IT literate and are confident using software tools to manipulate data.
• Comfortable working in a highly regulated safety-critical environment.
• Passionate about developing innovative solutions to improve process efficiency and data accuracy.
• Able to work under pressure applying your technical knowledge to solve urgent operational issues.
