Fire Management Field Technical Representative

Job Purpose:

The Field Technical Representative role exists to support the Fire Management department in performing all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft assigned to customers.


Perform all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on assigned aircraft assuring aircraft is available for customer flight missions on an ongoing basis

Maintain parts inventory and service vehicle, including driving from one location to another at the customer’s or companies request

Maintain aircraft cleanliness to the highest standards

Assist other company FTRs as needed or instructed

Communicate critical information to company headquarters, establish relationship with FBOs and other service providers at each location the plane is stationed

Act as company/customer relationship representative with tasks as requested by the customer, assists the customer with aircraft servicing pre/post flight

Has independent discretion and responsibility to develop work schedules and assignments to accomplish the job responsibilities

Responsible for booking own travel and lodging details and providing travel paperwork and receipts to corporate accounting every week

Responsible for emailing aircraft status, maintenance paperwork, daily location and activities via email/fax form to applicable distribution list provided by flight management

Other duties as assigned


High school diploma or GED required

FAA A&P certificate required

Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record

Ability to travel and make travel arrangements on short notice for movement from one fire location to another

Ability to remain away from home location for extended periods of time based on customer needs

Good teamwork, strong initiative, communication, problem solving, and decision making skills

Computer skills including email and submission of detailed maintenance and flight information

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work a schedule that is variable depending on the flight schedule of the plane including weekends and variable daily schedules

Highly resourceful

Job Experience:

Minimum of 2 years aircraft maintenance experience. King Air and/or turbine engine maintenance experience preferred
