Role Overview
This position leads large team of experienced Financial Planning and Analysis professionals or team leaders, overseeing financial analysis, research, and forecasts to support short and long-term business goals and decisions. Develops financial processes and systems in support of financial strategy. Provides consultation and guidance to functional or operational management on key financial issues and decisions.

The FlightSense organization within Aftermarket is considered a center of excellence for commercial flight hour and pooling contracts. Each contract is unique and is meant to be as supportive to the customer needs as they prefer. Our contracts range from solely asset pooling management through to repair flight hour and pooling and any combination in between. FlightSense Programs is a large and growing aftermarket business with locations throughout the US and multiple international sites and has become a strategic element for Collins Aerospace and UTC executive leadership. We currently support 50+ programs, with a constant flow of new contracts being added.

The FlightSense Finance team is looking for a dynamic self-starter to join its organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, teamwork, organizational and analytical skills, as well as a high level of motivation. Candidate will work with cross-functional teams locally as well as internationally and will lead all FlightSense financial aspects including but not limited to financial reporting, forecasting, monthly close, EACs (estimate at completion) and controls. FlightSense is a dynamic and growing business, with lots of opportunities to own and drive process improvements as well as new process development. Candidate will manage a team of 6 blue badge employees and 2 contractors.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Establishes key elements of operational plans for financial analysis, research, and forecasts to support short and long-term business goals and decisions.
* Implements financial processes and systems to maximize the quality of financial reporting, analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
* Manages creation and maintenance of financial models (EACs), variance analysis, and development of business cases and investment summaries.
* Delivers reports and presentations to advise management on financial analysis, results and recommendations.
* Provides consultation and guidance to functional or operational management on key financial issues and decisions.
* Manages financial practices to ensure they are conducted accurately and are compliant with regulations, laws and standards.
* Directs support for operation finance activities such as programs, pricing, sales and supply chain.
* Leads large-scale projects. Develops analytical models to perform difficult financial analyses.
* Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports on findings to make budgeting and cost recommendations to management.
* Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance, operations, supply chain, programs, engineering and other areas of business for financial and strategic planning purposes.
* Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning.
* Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios to help future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development and new marketing strategies.
* Provides support for pricing and sales.
* Develops and maintains financial information systems.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree or in lieu of a degree, 12 years of Accounting and Finance experience is required
* 8+years Accounting or Finance experience
