Medical & Dental Insurance for the employee & family - paid by Metro (This can be waived, and the employee is reimbursed $5,000 per year.) Sick leave: 6 days per year. Short Term Disability insurance premium is paid 100% by Metro. Pays 2/3 of pay for up to 90 days. Covers loss of medical certificate. 401K plan with company match of 75% of the first 7% of your contributions. Long Term Disability insurance is offered at a minimal charge. Pays 2/3 of pay for up to age 65 for full disability or up to 28 months for loss of medical certificate. Paid vacation (from 5 to 15 days annually depending on length of employment). Job Description:

Metro Aviation is in need of an experienced Field Based Airframe and Power Plant Technician with turbine-powered rotorcraft experience to join our AOG team at various locations throughout the United States.

The Field Based AOG Team Technician will be based at one of our facilities throughout the United States and when not responding to AOG maintenance requirements throughout the Metro Aviation operation they will be assisting with field or heavy maintenance at their home site.

Experienced EC135 and EC145 Technicians are preferred.

Avionics experience is a plus.

Extensive travel is required with potentially short notice. Pay is above average and commensurate with experience. The work schedule will be 20/10.

Minimum Preferred Requirements:

Honesty, integrity and a commitment to maintaining safe compliant aircraft.

*

Current FAA Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic Certificate, Inspection Authorization a plus.

*

3 years of FAR 135 turbine rotorcraft maintenance experience.

*

3 years of experience maintaining EC135 or EC145 rotorcraft.

*

Strong electrical and avionics troubleshooting ability.

*

Maintenance planning and scheduling skills.

*

Requires the ability and/or willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and on-call during the month.

*

Possesses sound judgment and objectivity in decision-making

*

Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

*

Extensive travel is required.

While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls: reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. May be exposed to hazardous chemicals. Work around machinery with moving parts. Specialized PPE may be required. The noise level in the work environment typically is usually moderate.
