SUMMARY

Come join our team at the facility where we are building and testing rockets as Facilities Technician II. The Facilities Technician II will perform preventative & and reactive equipment maintenance, some light welding, operation of heavy equipment at times, and construction of fabricated buildings. They will have the support of our internal facilities department and contractors. The Facilities Technician II will assist in all departments and repairs is necessary. This role is located at our rocket production facility in Briggs, TX, North of Cedar Park.

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Perform equipment maintenance, including both preventative and reactive tasks.
• Operate heavy machinery, including but not limited to forklifts, bulldozers, and scissor lifts.
• Participate in the construction of fabricated buildings.
• Collaborate with the internal facilities department and contractors for support.
• Provide assistance in various departments and perform necessary repairs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Be on-time and ready to work and learn and grow with a rocket company going to the moon!
• Familiarization with computer generated preventive maintenance.
• Strong communicator, with a customer obsessed mindset.
• Ability to handle emergencies with limited supervision.
• Ability to operate and handle machinery (forklift, scissor lift, bulldozer, skid steer etc.), equipment, and tools necessary for maintenance and repair.
• Maintain a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues concerning assembly and material-handling equipment or the facility.
• Ability to make decisions, resolve issues, and recognize when to escalate.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner with co-workers, vendors, and people with various professional backgrounds.
• Must be able to sit, stand and do repetitive actions with your hands for long periods of time.
• Ability to handle conflicts or challenging situations confidently.

Desired

• Some experience with welding and fabrication
• Basic plumbing experience
• Service experience on HVAC equipment a strong plus
