F-35 Material Review Engineer Stf – Assignment is at Edwards Air Force Base, CA covering Flight Test Operations and depot level support for modification repairs. The candidate must possess a unique set of skills combining strong engineering credentials with a solid understanding of depot practices and procedures. Primary duties of this assignment include anomaly investigation, technical solution development and preparation and release of dispositions for discrepancies on high performance aircraft detail parts, assemblies, and/or installations. Position requires a broad knowledge of aircraft maintenance and test support with the flexibility to work off hours and weekends. Material Review Flight Test experience is preferred. Selected candidate will represent MR at high level meetings and stay in close communication with the FW team to ensure flight test priorities are addressed. In addition, successful candidate shall have a strong internal customer focus, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidate will be required to participate in training in Fort Worth for MR Engineering certification prior to final deployment to Edwards AFB. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and special program clearances.
Must be a US Citizen. Position is located at a facility that requires special access
Must have a interim secret to start and the ability to obtain a secret clearance
Bachelors of Science OR above Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Civil Engineering field from an accredited college.
Prior Material Review Engineering experience
--CATIA V4 and/or V5,
-- Microsoft Office,
--Familiarity with JSF tools and processes including PDM, JDL, VAS, ALIS and QADs.
--Previous government customer interface experience.
--Prior experience with aircraft design, assembly, or repair.
--Logical problem solver.
--Self-starting, multi-tasker with a willingness to work off-shift hours and weekends when requested to provide necessary support.
