The Training Systems SEIT capability within Training Systems and Professional Services is seeking a Systems Engineer to support F-16 training systems programs.

The ideal candidate has the following knowledge and skills or the ability to learn these skills:

* Knowledge and application of the total product life cycle - requirements definition, systems design, systems development, systems integration, systems test and systems support

* Understanding of DIS protocol and application in distributed training environments

* Basic knowledge of training systems architecture using COTS PCs running Windows and Linux

* Understanding of RMF and JSIG activities

* Use of integration tools such as Redsim

* Knowledge of Training Systems’ procurement and manufacturing tools and processes

* The ability to troubleshoot network and hardware issues effectively

* Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

* The ability to plan, lead, monitor, and coach activities of other engineers

* Experience and ability to be a cost account manager (CAM) using earned value management (EVM)

* The ability to lead all phases of proposals

* Knowledge of DMO standards compliance activities

* The ability to travel to support meetings, integration activities and test events

* CDRL development, review and approval

* Ability to work with engineering counterparts from other training systems companies

The possession of a U.S. DoD Secret clearance is mandatory, with preference given to those who have completed a background investigation within the last five years

Qualifications

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

Must have an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

* A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or related field

* Knowledge of the total product life cycle and experience in performing tasks in one or more phases of the cycle

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to work collaboratively to reach decisions that are mutually acceptable to multiple engineering and support teams

* A U.S. DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

* Trainers and Training Systems experience

* Experience with one or more areas of Supplier management, Software, Hardware Development and/or Integration & Test

* Experience working with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other agile development methods

* Knowledge of aircraft and aircraft systems

* U.S. DoD Secret clearance background investigation completed within the last five years

Typical Education/Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 5 or more years' experience, Master's degree with 3 or more years' experience or PhD degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
