The Boeing Company is currently seeking highly-motivated Entry Level Software Engineers to join our Boeing Avionics Team in Plano, Texas.

In this job you will focus on full life cycle real-time software development for avionics systems such as those designed for communication systems, information systems and other core avionics.

Job Responsibilities:

* Develops, documents and maintains architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for embedded real time safety critical flight management software systems

* Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system

* Ensures developed software products and process conformance to project plans and DO178C

* Software functionality includes flight displays, datalink, flight planning, fault management, database management, and infrastructure

* Software executes on a partitioned operating system

Qualifications

Typical Education/Experience:

Degree and typical experience in engineering classification: Bachelor's and 2 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with experience. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee."

* Must have a Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry on or by June 2019

Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

* Experience with real time embedded flight software

* Experience developing using C++ highly desired

* Experience with full life cycle software development experience with Aviation Datalink Systems (Systems used for communication between ground/satellites and commercial aircraft)
