The successful candidate will work in three separate labs and shops within the Mesa Site. This is a physical position and requires the ability to stand for long periods of time. The job includes manufacture of R&D articles for engineering evaluation. The work is performed under supervised and directed by more senior technicians and engineers. The work is not entirely routine so the candidate needs to be able to coordinate a list of tasking and independently perform the duties as required.

Position Responsibilities:

Performs tests and assists in analysis of materials, processes and equipment
Participates in test development, assists in routine analysis of failed parts and processes, generates data to aid in the evaluation of the failure mechanism and documents findings
Assists in developing and revising documents and technical requirements
Participates in the evaluation and qualification of materials, suppliers, equipment, technology and processes to ensure that conformance and producibility requirements are met
Supports continuous improvement of products and processes by participating in the design, fabrication and testing of new concepts and technology
Work with composites, coatings and bonded assemblies in a composites layup capacity for aircraft structures

Variable Shift:

Current standard shift, must be willing to work variable shifts as required.

This positions requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Experience Operating and understanding mechanical equipment
Composites Layup and bonding

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Current Secret Clearance preferred
Computer Skills Machine
wood shop tool familiarity
General Aircraft production skills including wiring, mechanical assembly, systems test, etc.
Coating Application
Graphic Arts Analytical and Data reporting
Chemical mixing processes

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

The position is located in Mesa, Arizona, relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
