Engineering Summer Internship

Praxair's Global Supply Systems and Global Operations Excellence organizations are currently seeking students interested in an internship in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
Past intern students have worked in such areas as: process development, process design, functional equipment specification, functional control definition, commissioning, and operation support of cryogenic processes such as air separation, hydrogen and helium separation, liquefaction, and similar. Duties may include heat exchanger design, control valve & flow element sizing, technical risk analysis, safety assessment & documentation, and plant troubleshooting.
Our interns collaborate regularly with equipment suppliers, individual technical experts, engineering contractors, construction contractors, plant maintenance and plant operating personnel, and other project team members. The goal of our internship program is to provide hands-on practical experience for the student while potentially developing the individual to take on a full-time role with Praxair post-graduation.
* Exceptional technical skills and the ability to apply those skills in an industrial environment
* Highly creative with initiative and drive
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Proven track record of personal accountability and success throughout their academic and professional career
* Minimum GPA of 3.0 strongly preferred
Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in one of the following majors:
* Chemical Engineering (preferred)
* Mechanical Engineering (preferred)
* Electrical Engineering
* Industrial Engineering
* Other related engineering discipline
