I am looking for an Operation Controller with experience in Aerospace Engineering to support the Engineering team to meet their targets for time, cost and quality. This is achievable by supporting Lean and performance improvement of initiatives within the Fuel Domain.
Establishment of project budgets and tracking of Fuel Domain spend against budget
Monitoring of Fuel Domain resources allocated to the project in terms of headcount and bookings
Establishment and maintenance of appropriate planning
Project Management support to Engineering Team Leaders and project team to facilitate project delivery
Knowledge and support of Statements of Work (SoWs)
Experience with engineering plans, keeping to time, cost and quality procedures.
Experience with project support within and Aerospace Environment
Must be able to understand charge rates- Understanding business financial operations
Experience in controlling budgets in fuel systems and producing monthly forecasts
Experience within DDMS and Future aircraft development
Must be able to understand the AOP process and understand charge rates.
Establishment and maintenance of engineering plans working very closely with the team to ensure a high-quality plan is developed and agreed.
Track progress of achievement against plan working with the engineering teams to ensure commitments are met.
Ensure an agreed recovery plan with the engineering teams and programme management for any late deliveries,
reporting progress against the plan in a format and frequency to be agreed with your line management.
Support the engineering teams’ development of resource plans, usually through the SoW development process, but in any other ways that may occur.
As required, maintain an up to date list of resources booking to the project. This shall encompass all resources and not just those engineering staff directly on the project team.
Support to Work Package Leader as required for the preparation and participation in stakeholder meetings, e.g. Project Team meetings / Visual Management meetings, Domain reviews, meetings with A/C Programme Chief Engineers.
Support for Continuous Improvement initiatives and workshops.
Support the fuel domain IYUM department’s initiatives to improve delivery , This shall include deployment of new tools where appropriate and sharing of best practice with your other Engineering Operations Co-coordinator colleagues
Support the risk management process as required
