Kaman Composites Vermont located in Bennington Vermont has new opportunities available for highly motivated college students to join us as Engineering Interns. These are full-time 40 hour per week positions from mid May to the end of August with the possibility to continue the internships into the fall and spring semesters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Will work closely with a team made up of a program manager, program coordinator and project enginers to complete hands-on design of prototype components and tooling for customer projects. Will report out on assignments at the end of the internship.
* Model and create drawings using 3D CAD (Solidworks or Catia) for aerospace and medical components.
* Assist in the development of the tool conceptualization and design process.
* Assist with the development of Bills of Materials and operations instructions for the manufacture of components.
* Complete engineering changes and updates into the company's operating software Epicor.
* Work closely with project engineers and production teams in the hands-on fabrication of assigned projects

Qualifications

* Enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Materials Science Engineering
* Experience in utilizing 3D Cad design software
* Experience using hand and power tools
* Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
