This position supports the NAVAIR 5.4.4.5 EMC Branch at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD in the performance of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Testing on various aircraft platforms, support equipment, and weapons systems to determine their EMI susceptibility and protection.

Responsibilities:

Apply E3 engineering techniques, principles and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components.

Review, analyze, develop, prepare or apply E3 engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures.

Organize, analyze, and prepare reports or presentations of technical data and information.

Plan and perform E3 tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components. Compile, process, reduce, or analyze E3 test data results.

Qualifications

Associates degree and at least five (5) years of experience in engineering functions, one (1) of which is specific to engineering/technical functions in electromagnetic environmental effects. Nine (9) years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of degree

Preferred Skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· proficiency in MS office

· Strong attention to detail

· Able to work within a team and independently

· Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
