Job Description

Are you a coding virtuoso with a passion for metal additive manufacturing? Are you ready to dive into the exciting world of automation and revolutionize the industry? We're looking for you!

Our innovative approach requires the expertise of a talented student to help us create automated workflows and parameter development processes that will redefine our industry.

🌟 What You'll Do: As a co-op with Chromalloy, you'll be the brains behind the automation magic. Here's what your journey with us will entail:

🌟 Coding Marvel: You'll focus on Python programming to create automated workflows for importing, identifying features, labeling, assigning supports, and slicing metal additive builds.

🌟 Innovation Engine: Be a part of developing code and workflows that drive rapid optimization of downskin parameters for legacy materials and pave the way for parameter development in exciting new materials.

🌟 Build Preparation Maestro: Develop automation code that streamlines the entire build preparation process.

🌟 Hands-On Experience: Oversee the printing and evaluation of samples as you fine-tune parameters for perfection.

🌟 Standard Setter: Document CAD requirements and standard work procedures to seamlessly integrate with our automated workflows.

Qualifications

  • Must be a degree-seeking student in a Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering major
  • Rising Junior preferred
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday beginning Spring semester 2024 through Summer 2024
  • Strong Python programming experience preferred
  • CAD experience (Solidworks or Siemens NX) preferred

Additional Information

Salary Range: $22.00 - $23.50 per hour
