Role and Responsibilities

Requirements

KBR is currently seeking an experienced Lead Engineer III for the NAVAIR Fleet System Array (NFSA) with in-depth experience with Navy Ship, Shore, and Marine Corp MALS deployed sites. The Lead Engineer III must be customer focused in support of our warfighter mission and have a broad technical knowledge of Windows Server 2016 Hyper-V, VMware vSphere ESXi, Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016 Operating System (OS), IIS, Java and .NET based applications, local area networks (LANS), and Wide Area Networks (WANs) with knowledge of TCP/IP infrastructure. The Engineer III will be the technical lead of the team responsible for the integration, configuration, test, deployment, and sustainment of the Optimized Organizational Maintenance Activity Mid-Tier (OOMA MT), the JTDI Delivery Management Service (JDMS), legacy Joint Knowledge Caching Server (JKCS), and the Joint Deficiency Reporting System Lite (JDRS Lite).

The Engineer III will provide research, analysis, integration, and system design support for NFSA deployed systems to include hardware, software, and documentation updates on existing and future systems.

Systems Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

Provide daily status situational report (SITREP) to NFSA contractor Project lead

Participate in technical interchange meetings (TIMs) to provide technical input and recommendations to projects, schedule, and problem resolution

Work with Project lead on technical resources required for deployment and integration projects

Provide inputs to NFSA contractor Project lead and team for Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) submission

Provide feedback and make recommendations for future upgrades and configuration changes

Maintain Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) baseline for production instances of JDMS, Java, .NET, and IIS

Provide technical guidance and direction to assist team members with problems reported by NFSA sites

Work with Splunk/AStats administrators to improve system health monitoring capabilities for NFSA team

Provide system research and analysis to improve sustainment design footprint and improve system performance to meet or exceed war fighter needs

Leverage Service Desk ticketing system track and document completed tasks

Support IA team Plan of Action and Milestone (POA&M) requests and response

Update existing and develop new documentation, engineering drawings, and data-flow diagrams using common tools such as VISIO and Microsoft Word

Qualifications

System Administrator Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Technology, degree with 8 to 10 years relevant experience

Hypervisor technologies to include VMware vSphere ESXi and Microsoft Server 2016 Hyper-V

Specific experience with Microsoft Operating Systems 2012 R2 and 2016

Specific experience with IIS 7.5 or greater

Experience with a variety of LAN switches and TCP/IP networking

Current Security + certification

Current Operating System (OS) certification

Secret clearance with SSBI or Top Secret Clearance (preferred)
