My client is an innovative and entrepreneurial team of experts, involved in the development of clean and quiet electric propulsion aircraft.
As part of their ongoing success and growth, they are now seeking an  Electronic Equipment Design Team Leader to join their team in Switzerland on a permanent basis.  
As the Electronic Equipment Design Team Leader, you will manage the design team and report to the Head of Design Organisation.


Main responsibilities:
· Coordinating, performing, and sustaining development activities of the team required to support certification, production and installation of aircraft electronic equipment
· Creates and maintains development project schedules, resource assignments, and budgets. This includes the establishment of development and certification milestones required to complete project
· Conducts reviews of design data, analyses and test procedures pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials and reports to ensure technical maturity and compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
· Reviews advanced engineering principles, company standards, and procedures and determines required actions and performs follow-up activities
· Reviews drawings and reports to ensure conformity to established internal or external standards. As required, checks for document clarity, completeness, conformity to standards, procedures, and specifications. Identifies design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies. Directs revisions and improvements to engineers
· Provides leadership, trains, and mentors development engineers. Ensures his/her team is current and trained

 
Ideal Candidate profile:
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in highly fast changing environment.
· University degree (min. Bachelors) in a relevant engineering discipline (Hardware/Software development, Power Electronics, Energy Systems, Mechanical Engineering with experience in HW/SW development)
· Thorough knowledge of the involved engineering disciplines, to mentor and coach team members
· Demonstrated experience and expertise as team leader typically 5+ years
· Good understanding of aviation standards in the field of activity (SAE ARP 4754; DO-254 / ED-80; DO-178/ED-12; DO-160 / ED-14)
· Resource management skills
· Basic understanding of EASA Part 21, EASA Certification Specifications and certification principles
· Demonstrated success in working as a team player, capable of interacting with people from diverse backgrounds and skillsets
· Demonstrated ability to follow through and bring projects to completion
· Target-oriented, with analytic problem-solving capabilities
· Well organised including the ability to properly document
· Capacity to prioritize, manage time effectively and multi-task
· Good communication skills
· Fluency in English (oral and written), French an asset
· Candidates MUST already hold the right to live and work in Europe prior to application
