Electrical Integration Engineer
Exciting new Permanent opportunity for an Electrical Integration Engineer to work for one of the world's largest, privately- owned aerospace and defence companies based in Cambridge!
Following recent growth within their engineering division, our client is currently looking to hire a permanent Electrical Integration Engineer.
With their head office in Cambridge, they specialise in the conversion, modification, maintenance and support of civil and military aircraft, defence vehicle engineering, shelter manufacture, composite solutions and the provision of personnel, training and advice.
As an Electrical Integration Engineer you will be:
Part of the Electrical Integration Engineering Team, you will be responsible for producing Wiring Diagrams, Harness drawings and all related harness design and installation activities.
Experienced in defining / coordinating interface requirements with other departments, customers, and off-site partners, for all necessary system / integration tasks.
You have a sense of responsibility and have good integration / organizational skills.
Key experience will include:
*Experience in Wiring / harness design, installation and electrical integration.
*Experience with ECAD tools and processes.
*Excellent Understanding of overall design / integration process, from initial definition, through all different stages, to completion on aircraft.
*Thorough understanding of configuration / document control.
*Good understanding of EWIS, AS 50881, ARP4404, ARP1870, MIL-HDBK-83575, and other industry standards and practices.
*Knowledge of several electrical integration related aircraft domains (i.e. Design, Planning, Manufacture, Production, logistics, etc.)
*Experience in definition, coordination of all necessary parts, components, installation and interface requirements with relevant departments, customers & partners, to ensure safe, efficient / cost effective, compatible design.
*Knowledge of Mil specs, processes and procedures.
*Experience in Investigation, disposition and resolution of queries submitted by design, production and partners.
*Checking of work prior to release
Qualifications / Skills:
*Have a University degree in Aircraft Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, with relevant work experience in wiring harness / installation design and Integration.
*Excellent planning, organization and management.
*Collaborative approach and teamwork.
